Especially when I lived in the Somerset County, the next county over. I played a lot.
Now, I havent been out in over a year. Just too darn busy. I miss it from time to time.
But I realize something else today.
I still have have my love of the outdoors (Thanks to my dad) and love to hike and go battlefield Stomping. So that does keep out doors.
Thanks bro!
JIM
PS.. I have restarted my blog if your are interested. It was great on 18, seeing the statue of Payne Stewart behind there.

I have the same problem - my long irons were the first to go without the practice. Funny, but I still drive the ball 300 yards typically in the fairway... but I lost the long irons, the accuracy of the mid irons, and I struggle with the short game. The putting is still good, but the rest is ruining my score.

Well, hang in there Jonathan, and I'll try too :)

J.D.J David Petruzzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14212575393266360359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7827905110534990587.post-39838407176133537062009-06-24T13:49:54.562-04:002009-06-24T13:49:54.562-04:00I think I know how you feel. I live in Pinehurst, ...I think I know how you feel. I live in Pinehurst, NC...golf is a way of life here. I was a 5.2 HCP Index when I was playing often, now I'm hovering around a 9 or 10 HCP, maybe 11, I hate to look it up anymore. I last played golf in a member-guest on 5/23/09. I try to get to driving range at least once week to keep some type of feel going. Happily, my chipping, pitching, and putting are holding up. The problem is getting to the green as my irons are unreliable/horrible. Driver is good, 3 wood never comes out of the bag...it's really BAD! I was a good golfer in high school, and played my best afterwards, but did not play in college.

Tommy Armour's How to Play Your Best Golf All the Time is what's working for me...right now.

Hope you get that golf game back, golf is more fun when you play at or near your potential. It's fun to improve, but not to have your game disappear. I know.Jonathan R. Allenhttp://www.learncivilwarhistory.comnoreply@blogger.com
